The dramatic Oakland Rotunda was the setting for the annual Cal Shakes Theatre gala on March 08, 2008.
This year’s theme was “Gateway to India” and with Grace Street designing the décor as well as the exotic menu, guests were transported to a setting worthy of a aharajah’s palace. Handmade silk Sari runners adorned the tables which were accented with varying centerpieces of hammered brass vessels, spices, Buddha heads and peacocks.
Finishing the look of the room were the 350 attendees who were all encouraged to don their finest Indian ensembles for the festive evening.
